The 2025 Alaska Orienteering Festival is coming up in just over two weeks (June 25th-July2). This year there are four orienteering events planned:
- Loop-O at Earthquake Park – Wed June 25
- Traditional at Willow Creek – Sat June 28
- Mountain-O at Craggie Creek (Hatcher Pass) – Sun June 29
- Traditional at Mirror Lake – Wed July 2
The Traditional at Willow Creek is a Nationally Ranked Event that has been sanctioned by OUSA and will be offering 7 courses: beginner (white), advanced beginner (yellow), intermediate (orange), and four expert courses that are the same difficulty level in terms of navigation but range from shortest to longest in length/physical effort (brown, green, red, blue). Almost 20 people from outside Alaska have registered to participate in one or more of the events. We are so excited that they are coming up here! Please register now to help us know how many more participants to plan for and maps to print.
