This year there is a new category for traditional season points competition to recognize friends and family that orienteer as teams. Like the individual male and female categories, teams will be awarded points for how well they place on a given course relative to other teams.
For this to work, a team must use the same name for each meet (e.g. Smith Family Ramblers or The Devil’s Club). A team can have different members each meet as long as there is some consistency in membership. At the end of the season, the team with the most points in white, yellow, orange, green, and red courses will win an extra large Snickers bar for each member. And who knows, maybe we will also award Snickers bars to the team with the best name!
