Almost 60 competitors made it out for a fun evening of orienteering thanks to sunny skies and lighter than usual mosquitoes for Earthquake Park. The mass start on a looping course was a fun experiment that paid off as racers crisscrossed throughout the park. A couple close sprints to the final control added excitement to the finish, and afterwards participants compared their map variations to see how they stacked up.

On the long course Scott Patterson was the first to emerge from the woods to take the overall win. Jen Jolliff claimed victory for the women, while Art and Corin Harmon were the first-place team. On the short course, the team of Abby Stemper and Libby Kugel made the quickest work of the course while Axel Stone and Rachel Hannah won the men’s and women’s individual titles respectively. Team Robertson won white thanks to Caz pushing the pace.
