This year’s Mountain Goat Race will be on Sunday, August 24. The start and finish is from Echo Canyon Road with plenty of parking available along the sides of Echo Canyon. From the top of Upper DeArmoun you turn right on Canyon Road and follow it up to Echo Canyon Rd. Turn right and park just past the first drive on the right. Maps will be available at 9:15AM. Racers are encouraged to arrive by 9:30 as there will be a short walk to the 10:00 mass start.
There is one long mountain course which will take runners on a lovely gambol through the blueberry laden tundra of Rabbit Creek and Powerline Valleys and the surrounding ridges. A medium number of controls points are set to challenge runners’ large-scale route choices rather than pin-point easter egg hunting.
We have a brand new and vastly improved map for this year’s race!
