Directions to Fossil Creek meet, August 14th:
From the Ft Richardson gate (mile 7.5 on the Glenn), go straight on D Street to the first light. Turn right on 6th St. and follow it to where it makes a ‘T’ with the Davis Highway. Turn right on the Davis Hwy and follow it to Pole Line Rd (you’ll see the power lines, and an orienteering sign). Turn left on Pole Line Road and follow it to the start area. It’s 3 miles from the base entrance to Pole Line Rd, and 2.5 miles out Pole Line Rd to the start – and takes a bit under 15 minutes to drive. So this meet is closer than Mirror Lake in driving time as well as miles.
