Getting Ready for the Season

The first orienteering meet of the season is currently scheduled for May 3rd which is just over two week away. We might have to adjust that date if the snow has not melted enough.

Here are a couple of things you can do to get ready for the season:

  • Fill out the season waiver for you or your family.
  • Buy a season pass for you or your family.
  • Buy a finger stick for electronic timing if you have not already done so.  This year we will start charging $5 for stick rentals (see details) so just buy a stick.

Also we are looking for people who are willing to contribute photos from events to our Instagram feed.  Please contact our VP of Media Art Harmon (aharmon@gci.net) if you are willing to help.

Finally here is a news clip on how orienteering may help protect against cognitive decline as we age.
