Here are the results of last night’s fun! Many competitors on the red and orange courses were confounded by an unmapped trail found before the second control, but not Brian Kirchner, the speediest on the red course. All in, we had 15 teams and 20 individuals competing on a fine and sunny evening. And lots and lots of hordes of mosquitos.
Many thanks to Bill Spencer for vetting the course of a first-time course designer. And to Peter Johnson, Lexi Hill and Anne Billman for great help with control setting and registration. And to Dave and Diana Evans for fetching controls after they completed the green course.
A couple of competitors failed to dip at the finish and / or at the mini-reader when they came off the course, leading to just a bit of concern as to whether they were still out on the course – they weren’t. If you missed the finish control (or another control on the course) you will show up in the in results as MP (missed punch). If you forget to have the data from your stick read in the mini-reader after the race, you will show up as DNF (did not finish) in the results even if you punched all the controls.
