Mirror Lake map
31 people came out to enjoy a sunny Equinox afternoon in the woods on Eklutna lands behind Mirror Lake Middle School. Recently fallen leaves obscured a few trails, but the first-timers prevailed to complete their courses. Ian Moore and Jen Jolliff both declared that it was a fun meet, as they took first and second on the Red course. Ellyn Brown won the women’s division on Green (which a JROTC team also successfully completed). Erik Carlson and Michael Clark were the fastest team on Orange, and the newbie Dearborns were narrowly edged out by Springer Moore and Jen Jolliff on Yellow.
Many thanks to Lexi Hill for assistance in field checking control locations, Ian Moore for minor map updates, Kimball Forest for course vetting, Trond Jensen for map printing, Corrie Whitmore for assistance with course setting, Bill Johnson and Anne Billman for meet day help, Dan Billman for control pickup, and Chris Tomsen for reaching out to various groups to drum up support for this meet.
