Notes From the Meet Director:
The courses near the North Bivouac Trailhead off Basher Road have generally pleasant running. With the exception of the red course, participants can opt to keep their feet dry. The area is drier than normal for this time of year. One of the mapped watercourses is even dry. Participants should be aware that I have encountered quite a lot of wildlife (14 moose, 1 black bear, and 1 wolf [which was chasing a cow moose]) while setting the courses. This is also the time of year that moose are calving, so participants should be on the lookout for wildlife. However, downed timber, mosquitoes, and brush should not be significant concerns.
