McHugh Creek this Wednesday
Come out to the first traditional orienteering meet of the year at McHugh Creek on Wednesday (5/6/26) evening to enjoy the spectacular views and fun but challenging orienteering. Courses will be on the shorter side as it’s the first traditional meet of the season and there is some serious elevation involved on the green and red courses. The devils club (Oplopanax horridus) is not yet out and we tried our very best at choosing open terrain.
Long pants is a must to protect your legs from the rose bushes (Rubus idaeus).
McHugh Creek day use area is off the Seward Highway. Follow the road up to the middle parking lot to find us. Please remember that the lot is pay to park, so bring $5 or a State Park pass.

Starts from 5pm to 7pm. You need to finish by 8:30pm, and the gate closes at 9pm.
