Ski-O Events in 2026!

Results for Stadium Ski-O

The Arctic Orienteering Club hosted its third and final ski-O this year at Kincaid Park on Sunday March 29, hosted by Gary and David Snyder. The long course was 13 controls and 5.8 km and the short course was 9 controls and 3.2 km. It was perfect ski-O conditions with blue skies, no wind, and good, packed powder snow cover.
Ian Moore won the long course in 35:30, in a close race with Trond Flagstad who finished second in 35:30. Tamra Kornfield was the first female finisher and third overall in 37:25.
The Eli Suver team won the short course in 34:13, followed by Jen Joliff in 41:24 and Brittany Hippe in 41:29.
Thanks to Dorn Van Dommelen and Steve McKeever for helping with trail cut throughs and logistics, and Team Robin and Zola for fetching some flags at the end.
Don’t forget to join us this Thursday at Cynosure Brewing at 6 p.m. to celebrate the Ski-O season, hear about the World Championship from Tamra Kornfield, and to chat about the future of ski orienteering in Alaska.
