Results for Raspberry Ski-O

The second ski-o of the series had a delayed start due to the recent cold snap but orienteers were rewarded with above zero temps that continued to rise, fast ski trails, and wicked bright skies.  Just over 40 people went out on courses that gave permission to travel either direction on one-way trails and encouraged (sometimes required) the use of single-track bike trails and other community trails.  Participants in ski orienteering typically use skate skis but the cold temps and terrain for this event encouraged many to bring their classics instead.  Finishers were rewarded hot beverages, rice pudding, and other tasty treats.

Thank you to NSAA and STA for coordinating with the club on this event and the many volunteers who made it happen: Scott Patterson for designing the fun courses; Steve, Dorn & Mike for stomping trails & setting controls; Brittany & Shelly for setting out event signs on the trails (plus bringing coffee); Ruth for the fabulous food table; and Cory, Gary, Ian, Max, Steve & Tom for gathering controls after the event!
