Sprint Training Recap

About 20 stalwart orienteers participated in tonight’s sprint training. Everyone enjoyed the “all-you-can-orienteer” format and many ran multiple courses. Courses included two short sprints, two longer sprints, a traditional sprint finale, and a “no map” course. The bravest souls chose that map first. They had one minute to memorize their routes and then off they went, without a map.

Everyone who participated tonight was a winner. The results are posted so that you can compare times, splits, and route choices:

Many thanks to those who pitched in. A group of sprint experts helped to give advice and hang out for the entire event. They even pulled the controls! Steve McKeever helped with support, hauling tables and whatnot. Agie Kupilik was the volunteer star. She got the refreshments, set controls in an incredible downpour, and helped for the entirety of the event. Thanks Agie! Sorry your relay was postponed.
