More than eighty people came out to Prospect Heights on Wednesday evening to celebrate the end of the school year and the unofficial start of summer by participating in a traditional orienteering meet. Prospect Heights can be a challenging area for travelling off-trail, but conditions were as good as they get. The weather was good, the views were great, and everyone was in good spirits, despite the 1/4 mile walk to the start.
Ian Moore and Jen Jolliff won the Red course for Men and Women, respectively, while Julia Ditto, Dave & Diana Evans, and Kimball Forrest won the Green course for Women, Teams, and Men.
Meet Director Cory Smith would like to give extra special thanks to Anne Billman for her efforts to enable us to hold the meet, despite the trailhead being closed for paving. Also thanks to Ian Moore for his help with map updates, and Linda and Hatcher Smith for help with all aspects of the meet.
