All New FNBP Results

Mile 2.2 Far North Bicentennial Park

Over 80 people, most of the regulars and lots of new faces, came out to enjoy the break in the weather to try out the new FNBP orienteering map. The new map was well received, despite the fact that many orienteers struggled on the challenging courses. Bungled navigation, however, was not the chief complaint, that was: mosquitoes, bears, mosquitoes, moose, more mosquitoes, vegetation, and even more mosquitoes. It was Alaskan orienteering at it’s “finest”.

Scott Patterson beat out Ian Moore for the fastest time on the long advanced (red) course. Jen Jolliff topped the women on red course. Nick Crews Team won shorter advanced (green) course while Kimball Forrest and Dela Grey led the men and women. Todd Shearer and Ellyn Brown posted the best fimes for men and women on the intermediate (orange) course.
