Update:
- McHugh Creek is a Chugach State Park facility, so remember your state parks parking pass or bring $5 for parking.
- The gate to the upper parking lots locks at 9pm. So we are changing the finish cut-off time to 8:30. Starts from 5 to 7pm, and you must finish your course by 8:30. Park at the bottom and walk up if there is any chance you might be cutting it close.
- We’re looking for one or more people to double-check the courses. If you are interested in pre-running the Orange, Green, or Red course, starting anytime between 3 & 4 pm, send an email to coryhsmith@gmail.com . Your time will still be included in the results.
This week’s meet is at one of our most scenic venues! Come on out to McHugh Creek on Wednesday evening to enjoy the spectacular views and challenging orienteering. This is our first in-person meet on this map.
We’ll have courses for all ages and abilities. We’ve kept the courses on the shorter side, while still taking you to some of the many cool places on this map!
McHugh Creek day use area is off the Seward Highway. Follow the road all the way to the top to find us.
Starts any time from 5 to 7 pm, and you need to be finished by 9.
Bear spray and long pants are recommended.
