There will be an in-person meet this Saturday at Glen Alps with three course options: a long Mountain Goat, a medium Billy Goat, and a traditional White course. The courses are longer and hillier than usual, but accesses beautiful terrain around Glen Alps and frequently goes above tree-line on the tundra.
Start location: Far end of Glen Alps (Flattop) lower parking lot. Participants must have a Chugach State Park parking pass or pay $5 at the entrance kiosk to park.
Start time: Please arrive by 9:00am to get registered and ready for the mass start events.
10:00am mass start Mountain Goat-O
10:15am mass start Billy Goat-O
any time between 10:00am and 1pm for White course
Must finish by 2 pm.
Please bring adequate food, water, and clothing to stay fueled, hydrated, and warm while out on the course. We encourage everybody to bring bear spray. Also note that the Mountain Goar and Billy Goat runners will get wet feet and may want to bring dry shoes and a change of clothes
