Results from A Midsummer Night’s Dream-O

In Much Ado About Nothing, Leonato states that “A victory is twice itself when the achiever brings home full numbers”. In that vein, the Mid-Summer Night’s Dream-O was certainly twice a victory. 88 participants participated in the Score-O chasing down controls and Shakespeare quotes, and even one Shakespeare character. Puck, it turns out, was a hard control to capture. Not only was he fleet of foot, but his fairy helpers (Mustardseed, Moth, Cobweb, and Peaseblossom) diverted many an orienteer, helping Puck to rule his forest! In addition, Control 18 proved to be proverbial as the stage direction “exit pursued by a bear” was followed by a number of participants aiming to visit controls to the north of Northern Lights.

Here are the results, though, of course, we all win any time we celebrate both the sport of orienteering and the theater (take that UAA – Save the Seawolves for real – reinstate Theater, Sociology, and Environmental Science!). Please forgive misspellings…
