The terrain around Mirror Lake Middle School is in prime condition for running through the woods. The forest floor is dry (except where mapped as wet), the visibility remains open, and the mosquitos are few. Wednesday is forecast to be grand, so come out and enjoy the outdoors, map and compass in hand!
No unleased dogs will be allowed on any course!
Course vetters ran into several cow moose with newborn calves. The new moms are testy as their little ones are not mobile yet. Because of this we ask that no dogs be taken out on courses off-leash.
We highly recommend everyone carry bear spray.
No bears were seen while setting this meet but they are in the woods with cubs. Keep your head up and be bear and moose aware, as you do at all meets.
Wear your mask in the sign up and start finish area.
While pandemic precautions are winding down, we request you continue to wear your mask when signing in and working with the meet directors and volunteers in the start finish area.
