Joseph glad you had a good time, sounds like all the flags were there! I was afraid windstorm may have swept some away. By hill at #10 long, I assume you mean the landform/spur nearby (the control clue is SE edge of clearing)? It is very faint.
Thanks for extending the Bivouac time frame. I did the short course on the FNBP Bivouac on 9-27 a little differently because it’s a much shorter drive for me to Hilltop than the Bivouac Trailhead. I did the course in this order: #4, #3, #2, #10, #11, #1, #9, #8, #7, #6 and #5. It took me 1:35, not sure if I had an advantage doing the controls out of order or not. It was an overcast day, but not raining with lots of people, both hiking and biking. I loved the fall colors and the fact that each control was where I thought it was. Thanks for the great chance to get out in the woods.
Thanks so much to all the volunteers for setting courses this summer. It’s been a nice diversion from all the anxiety producing events going on in the world. It’s also been a great learning experience; making mistakes and then figuring them out, etc. We are so fortunate to have such great trails in and around Anchorage.
Great Challenging long course with incredible fall colors. Don’t expect much of a hill at #10 on the long course.

Good course by Mr. Robinson that once again took me onto trails I’ve never been on.
Enjoyed the options for going off-trail on the medium course, while knowing I didn’t have to.
Short course was fun. Note to self: If you feel like you’ve gone too far past a control, you probably have! 🙂
Did the medium course today with my dog buddy Bella. A fun course. Fall colors were really nice. Thanks again to the folks who set the course.
