No score/finish for me this week; I only went out to find the blue flags, explore the trails, so I took my time. On the good side, so many berries! I did the South section on Friday, late morning/early afternoon; not sure if I will go back to check out the North. I was so disheartened by all the trash and homeless camps I saw (I think it’s been over 10 years since I’ve been in this park). The camp by #12 was too close for my comfort (again, so much trash), and before that, while on my way out to #60, I saw 2 active camps in the woods, to the west, and thought I saw movement, so being extra cautious (as I was alone) I turned around and went back to the paved path. I didn’t like the feeling of possibly being watched. I’d rather face a four-legged predator than a 2-legged one any day. Sadly, way too much trash in the wooded trails; if not for that & the camps, this would be a great venue. I plan to report the camp near #12 to the city, whether or not anyone else has. *****Also, a golfer I talked to near #22 told me that there had been a bear there on Thursday, in multiple areas of the park. I never saw it, though I did see a good pile of scat, S/SW of #22.
A fun course. Saw homeless camp near 12, but had no issues. I’m not sure I know how to score a Score O? Is it 10 pts for controls 10-15, 20 pts for controls 20-25, then what?

Thanks for setting up a fun course Karen. I recommend doing this one in teams. I bumped into a lot of homeless people and camps Thursday afternoon.
Whilst on our way to claim 42 a large black bear got there first and thwarted our effort- was interested in our noise but did not approach

Yep, you’ve got it!
To be clear, 10 points each for 10-15, 20 points each for 20-25, all the way up to 60 points for control 60.
Always fun at Russian Jack
