  2. Keena and I had a great time dusting off the compass and trotting through the course. I tried to input on RouteGadget but I’m pretty sure I didn’t do it correctly. Our total time on the course was 1:05. Looking forward to the next one!

  5. Was wonderful to see five groups, two of them with kids out enjoying the day. Joe easily could have taking an hour off his time if I didn’t stop and talk to every group we encounter and I reduced my instruction by half. This is the first time I have posted my route and viewed other people’s routes with Route Gadget. What a wonderful tool for analyzing and learning from the fast people’s route choices.

  6. Well done, Mark! Our family had a great time out there on Saturday. We were told about the black bear as we arrived, so that influenced our choices a bit as we tried to avoid the area it had been reported in. This was my first Route Gadget upload as well–super fun!

  7. Really great to get out for an Mother’s Day Eve outing (night before). Also liked being able to do the course when it worked for our schedule. Good start to the season!

  9. Great chance to dust off my orienteering skills. Passed right by the beer cache but failed to remember where it was after orienteering so didn’t raid it. Thanks for the course.

  11. Great to get out at the first meet. Saw two other different people doing the O, too. We had fun in the dry woods! Sorry, Steve that my unruly puppy chased you!!
