On August 14, we were finally able to hold our Fossil Creek meet; many thanks to JBER for making this possible. 39 people came out to a sunny 70 degree evening (and not too many mosquitoes!). Ian Moore and Jen Jolliff won the men’s and women’s red course; Dela Gray and Steve Gruhn won the men’s and women’s green. The largest field was yellow teams with 6 entries; Springer Moore and Andrew Harmon won convincingly, and a good time was had by all. Many thanks to Lorena Knapp for endless meet planning and control setting; Chris Tomsen for JBER permit coordination; Anne and Dan Billman for helping set controls; Corrie Whitmore and Karen Bronga (and undoubtedly others drafted into service) for manning the table; Regan Sarwas for control pickup and Dela Grey for packing up everything while we were out retrieving controls.
