Bill Spencer and Pat ran the fastest long course as a team and Jen Jolliff and Cory Smith topped the women and men, respectively. The long race results were compromised by a wrongly-placed control that disadvantaged some participants (including Jen above and many speedy early-starters). Brian Kirchner ran the fastest short course. Many people ran both short and long courses, and their runs on their second courses had the advantage of their already knowing where some controls were. Of the short course participants that hadn’t already run a long course, juniors Iona Snyder and Grady Knijper and team Joanna and Joel Hubbard navigated most swiftly. Participants enjoyed perfect weather and route choice-making at top speed.
