Far North Bicentennial Park at Hillside
Score-O style event in which orienteers find as many controls as they can in a set period – either 45 minutes or 90 minutes. Each control was worth 10 points, with a 5 minute penalty for each minute overtime. Icy trails were challenging, but frozen ground and good visibility in the forest benefited the 23 racers. Team Jeremy Crawford and Peter Oswald found all the controls in less than the time limit to win the long course. Scotsman Joshua Dudley found 14 controls but lost some points for tardiness, winning the short course.
