JBER-Elmendorf
The Arctic Orienteering Club raced five courses on intricate terrain in pre-leaf-out conditions. Ian Moore won the longest course in just under an hour, and David Evans had the fastest time on the short expert course. Of the 42 participants, 31 successfully completed a course.
Thanks to Paul Sendhofer for serving as the military sponsor, Chris Tomsen for arranging JBER access, the Alaska Mountain Rescue Group for performing a search-and-rescue exercise with the Orienteering Club, Ian Moore for helping with the simulated search, and HDR Alaska for printing.
