A special do-it-yourself orienteering opportunity. This is not a club sanctioned event. Everyone does it at their own risk. It is a fun course set up by a local orienteer.

The course start is on Prospect Drive adjacent to the entrance of Prospect Heights parking lot for Chugach State Park. The course is set with orange-green-red level features. The start and controls will be marked with pink surveyor’s tape flags, no numbers on them, and will be set up by noon Thursday and will remain up through the weekend.
The area has about 4” of snow so orienteering through the woods is really fun. Most of the features are off the trails so you could do this as a trail run too. The moose have stomped in so many trails eating the recently blown down birch trees you cannot follow tracks in the woods. If it snows much, not forecasted though, we may not set the course.
